This allows gomes to attack and inflict pain and control from a distance.  If part of a gome object (like a spear tip) is left attached to (or inside) another creature then Translators (if they have access to that same material) can get information about that person (whether they are near or far away, whether they are alive and well or are weak and unwell or even if they are dead or have disappeared from this time thread).  Translators can use the Homing Brew to inflict pain, control the person’s health, affect their emotions and free will and physical abilities.
